Debris flow

The term 'Debris flow' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' Flash flood consisting of a mixture of rocks and sediment containing less than 40 percent water, by volume; forms a debris fan'.

The term 'Debris flow' as it applies to the area of volcanos can be defined as '   A flowing mixture of water and rock debris, sometimes referred to as a lahar (originating at a volcano) or mudflow'.
